Our intention is to bring our two communities together to share a meaningful experience around different prompts every Friday at 12pm Texas / 6pm Morocco. Let's see what magic will continue to unfold as we enjoy a 1-hour facilitated virtual exchange. Please note that a private zoom link will be sent to you the day before.
What sparked Sheryl and Yasmine?
Sheryl and Yasmine are both explorers whose own lives have been deeply impacted by the opportunity to engage in meaningful cross-cultural exchange.
Sheryl is an immigration lawyer whose work requires her to build relationships with people from all over the world. Initially, she was attracted to the law to “help people” but now she realizes how much her clients actually help her to maintain a happy, healthy and hopeful perspective - always making the best of life, dreaming of a better future, and working hard to make those dreams come true. In 2016, she launched The Art of Migration as a personal project to connect people where they live through inclusive community conversations exploring culture and identity in a changing world.
Yasmine is a social entrepreneur whose experience as a high school exchange student from Morocco to the U.S. lit a fire that’s been burning ever since. Living with a family in Kansas, she realized the magic of cross-cultural exchange as a tool for peace building, especially between people who might otherwise think they have nothing in common. She has now traveled to all 50 U.S. states and over 40 countries, connecting with locals everywhere she goes. In 2014, she founded her company Voyaj to give everyone the opportunity to experience authentic cross-cultural exchange.
Sheryl and Yasmine both love bringing people together for meaningful conversations guided by curiosity and compassion. This is our life’s work!
